The Whatley Boys

Switching gears a little bit. This is a portrait I recently finished that was finally gifted last night so I can share it here with you. Commissioned by a father for his lovely wife, The Whatley Boys is an 18x24 pencil portrait on archival paper, based on a photo taken at Roosevelt State Park.

Lemon Wedged

This was day 42 of my 90 day painting challenge, listed here on Etsy. I like the texture I was able to achieve on the lemon half and wedges. These paintings aren't posted in any particular order other than the way they were listed on Etsy. With future 90 day painting challenges, I plan to post them all in order here.

Gold Mandala on Red

A little something different... I like to do pieces like this from time to time when I need to relax and realign. It's a gold mandala pattern on a red background, on a 12x12 acrylic canvas. Rather than list my larger canvases on Etsy, I usually take them to a local coffee shop/gallery for purchase there in order to keep my shipping costs down for my Etsy customers. But this piece is still available for purchase.

Red Apple

Another fractured subject, this red apple was the subject of Day 36 of my 90 day painting challenge. I love the colors in this one. It's listed for sale on Etsy here . I'm currently working on a commissioned portrait of 2 little girls and the grandmother they never had the chance to meet. I'll be sharing that here after it's been gifted. There's a party scheduled tonight for the recipient of my last portrait, so hopefully I'll be able to share that here soon.
